Meet The Team

Dr. Ryan Chuang

Senior Veterinary Surgeon & Practice Director DVM (National Taiwan University)

Dr. Ryan Chuang graduated from National Taiwan University in 2009 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Following residency training in Taipei, he moved to Hong Kong in 2013, where he has since dedicated his career to advancing small animal clinical standards.

Clinical Journey & Expertise Dr. Ryan spent his first six years in Hong Kong at Causeway Bay Animal Hospital, gaining invaluable surgical and medical experience under the mentorship of Dr. Frank de Groot. Later, during his tenure at Pets Central in North Point, he became highly recognized for his clinical results, building a large and loyal patient base.

Advanced Diagnostics A specialist in clinical imaging, Dr. Ryan previously served as a Senior Ultrasonographer for Easonagraphy, a mobile ultrasound service. Performing over 200 scans per month for various clinics across Hong Kong, he became a trusted partner for the city's veterinary community, known for providing rapid and accurate diagnostic insights for complex cases.

A Comprehensive Approach to Medicine Dr. Ryan believes that fragmented care—where pets are referred to different clinics for different problems—can lead to missed opportunities for healing. To provide a truly comprehensive medical home, he has pursued extensive training across multiple essential disciplines. He is highly experienced in:

  • Complicated Internal Medicine

  • Soft Tissue Surgery

  • Cardiology & Ultrasonography

  • Advanced Dental Procedures

  • Veterinary Acupuncture

Combining technical precision with extreme patience and attentiveness, Dr. Ryan is dedicated to solving complex medical puzzles while ensuring that both pets and owners feel supported throughout the journey to recovery.
